This is the Aztec sun god Tonatiuh in the maw of the hungry earth god Tlateuchtli. This combination deity is thought to be Yohualteuctli, the hungry god of the night sun. This is thought, by some, to be the deity represented in the famous Mexica Aztec sun stone.
