Thormundar - Skull Magic

One of the more complicated pieces I've done, especially one with a set of characters! Inspired in part by metal album art as well as Magic the Gathering's Mystical Archive, I made use of a generic character design that I had prepared for my OC setting, Thormundar, for the outfits of the panda-folk. A lot of the composition was mirrored to ease the preparatory legwork for the piece. I did, however, decide to have an asymmetric design for the two companion characters, as well as an asymmetric lighting setup to mix the composition up a bit.
