So back in 2019 I designed this character called Zazzik. The whole idea behind him was that he's from a universe that's physically incompatible from our own, so when he comes over to us his body makes no sense and his speech is just garbled corrupted noises. You might be able to guess, but the inspiration was video game glitches - primarily Garry's Mod, where a black and magenta chequerboard means there's a missing texture. So I latched onto the idea of that pattern meaning that whatever he's made of is simply beyond our understanding, though it did turn into stripes. Oh, and I keep calling him "he", but "it" would technically be more accurate since there's no telling what his true biological form is supposed to look like.

Anyway, I always liked the vibes of his design, and I still love the concept behind him, but felt like it could have been done with more... ahem, pizzazz, so I gave him another crack of the whip. And I think it's a noticeable improvement! Mainly in the execution, though; the actual design didn't change that much, the most notable difference being the "eye" brows, which I thought was a fun way to include extra eyes without disrupting the facial structure too much.
