Every time I look at this gorgeous picture, I can just smell the daffodils through the screen. I guess you could call that flower power. Howerbout that? ^__^

This was a partly-coloured sketch I got from a stream hosted by , which was held just before St. David’s Day, Wales’ national holiday. With the national flower being the daffodil (perhaps a bit narcissistic of us, but there we are), I thought a scene of Dai smelling a bunch of freshly picked daffodils would be an apt way to celebrate the occasion. I hope you’ll agree that Soot did a superb job of capturing the moment; I don’t think I’ve ever seen a dog looking that happy! Of course, one must consider the context of the scene. I’m betting that just before Dai picked up this bouquet, he had just finished a plate of Welsh cakes and a pot of tea with a group of good friends (socially distanced). As Saint David himself said on his deathbed “Gwnewch y pethau bychain” – “Do the little things”. One doesn’t ask for a rich life, for the earth’s gold or its pearls, rather one humbly requests a happy heart, an honest heart, and a clean heart…CALON LA~AN YN LLAWN DAIONI, TECACH YW!-
