MsMeowgi drew yet another playable race from my setting, which these Patreon Rewards are helping Populate!

This time: the Adumbrali

So... uhm... yes, whomever knows their Lovecraft knows what the Adumbrali are. For everybody else... they are basically a writing mass of tentacles that exists only as bidimensional shadows of a multidimensional being that lacks the normal 3 dimensions we are used to use. As shadows in this world they can interact by interacting with shadows. Funnily enough they cannot exist in total darkness and while absolute light is quite impossible they would find that equally impassable.

So... when faced with a being of shadows and absolute evil what do i do? I obviously put it in my setting and tell players "Yeah. You don't have to be evil." hence the adumbrali here playing the vigilante hero that is so common in most RPGs

Tangential and very much related. Lovecraft in my RPG setting actually existed and wrote what for the people in that setting was "whodunit" stories of murderers and stuff. Usually of the kind that ends badly.
