This is one of the longterm projects I've been working on! It's to be used as a decal by a family member (they requested a textured lineart octopod), and it was quite the challenge trying to fill the area they wanted it to encompass with the visual interest I love. It's also the second time I've drawn tentacles (first time with suckers and the whole cephalopod to go with them)...so, there's that XD. The size and detail are sort of forcing me to upload at a higher res than usual- refresh and/or hit the download button for a better view.
If you look carefully, you'll see various types of sea creatures from the Canadian west coast. I was strapped for time and wasn't able to fit in the variety I wanted to, but I think there's still a healthy amount :3. If you look even more carefully, you might find another small surprise. I wonder where it could be?

Thx Silver! Yeah, it was weird working without pressure lol. I imagined this pic as one that would grow overtime as the elements tore away at it forcing it to be replaced (it'll be living on a saltwater Canadian vessel...sooooooo 2 years tops).
A dead simple style on the lines makes it easy to replicate and expand on as new critters get incorporated into the whole for subsequent printings. The owner could select pictures they've taken or subjects they enjoy, get me or someone else to incorporate them into the simple style of the base pic and consistently have a fresh image that hopefully only gets better with age. Who knows if that will happen, but I really enjoyed tackling the concept of a "living" image.
