(I dreamed this the other week.)

Insectoid coma

He got caught in a chemical explosion and didn’t wake up, his wounds got bandaged and he stayed in a coma for over a month.
Until eventually he heard voices faintly and seemed so far away, but he got the urge to get up.
And with all his power he moved an arm and a leg little by little until he managed to drop himself out of his bed.
The floor hit him like a truck and disoriented him he listened again and heard the voices again now louder but not making sense all jumbled together.

He crawled towards the sound on his hands and feet while his eyes remained closed.
With every step he took he lost movement in his hands and they lost touch as they felt harder and harder, but he struggled less as well and it started to feel natural.
The same happened to his legs, although every feeling bellow his knee disappeared as it shrunk into nothing.
His arms and legs slowly turned into that of an insect, an exoskeleton grew over them and a third set of legs grew from the side of his abdomen.
He walked on blindly, needing to know where he was, his body grew tendrils from the front of his head and he found his way out of the room into a busy hallway.

And finally his eyes opened revealing two large insect compound eyes, for the first time in a month he saw the world again and what had happened to his body and he was content with it.
A woman saw him crawling over the floor as a human sized insect human hybrid.
She screamed as loud as she could while she froze in place.
He looked up at her opened his mouth and a two new vertical jaws came out and returned a high pitched scream.
Other people noticed him and the hospital turned into chaos and he as well panicked and ran across the walls and floor looking for an exit.
He eventually jumped through a window and two wings broke through his hospital gown.
His skin is now visibly gone and replaced with a hard exoskeleton.
The security cameras quickly lost sight of him and no one knows where he went to.
