T. Matt Latrans talks about the furry athletes chosen to play in the 2010 FBA Rookie Challenge and the thrilling match between the Western and Eastern Conferences. He does it all while fighting off a skunk that won't leave his script alone, an intern who can't stop teasing him, and his mom.

NOTE: For those who attended by Voice Acting Workshop panel at FA: United 3, I'm very sorry to say this is still not the podcast I recorded at that convention. Regrettably, an unexpectedly long illness followed by an excessive amount of work has really slowed my production. I will be trying my hardest to get that episode out soon. My sincerest apologies for taking this long.

How do you do it? I am not a sports fan but you make these interesting and amusing even when the core subject is something i usually don't give any thought to.

Man, it's been so long since this was recorded (no offense meant) that I had forgotten about the outcome of this. Therefore it was just as exciting as if I never heard it! ^^ Congrats Ian Histon on his Rookie Game MVP award! Well deserved! :)

I know there's no time nowadays to do the other contests from All-Star Weekend, but is there any fair way that we can at least hear who won the events? The three-point shootout, dunk contest, and All-Star Game (with MVP)? Though just the simple results, as all of these events put together would have made a 2 hour long podcast most likely, heh.

Hmmm... the results of this were so amusing that it almost condones messing with the script in the future. Muahaha!

Yeah, heh-- I bit off more than I could chew when coming up with All Star Weekend. :-P

I'll have to post the results early in the off-season. Maybe I'll save them for a podcast later on-- it would make good material! Though I guess after the Finals, I'll need to get to the draft podcasts ASAP!! Eeep!

Man, I need more hours in my day. O.o

We sure did! And I'll be sure to let you know! I always post it ahead of time on my FA page, so just keep watching my journals for the next 'cast.

My guess right now is that it will be sometime in mid-August. Once I read the FBA Draft Report, I'll be able to write the scripts for the pre-draft podcasts. I'll let you know!

Heh, I get excited when I record, I know. I'm just glad that the energy I give when I perform comes across in the recording! It can be tough to rattle off all those words while yelling like that.

Finally got to listen, and yeah, the energy you continue to be able to bring to these things, on top of everything else you've got going on, is a joy to listen to. And yeah, I love the way you work in crowd FX and all the cut ins.

Thanks so much, J-Ott! I do wish I could make these quicker. To be honest, I rushed this one a little bit, and didn't put in quite as many sound effects as I usually do, but I do feel like it's got a great pace. It was nice to describe a game again! I find it sort of a tough trade-off-- when I do an all-news podcast, I get to use more voices from my fans, which I love doing. But I find the game podcasts to be so much fun to describe! Maybe I just like shouting into microphones.

I wouldn't have put T. Matt's character in if I didn't think my mom would play her. My mom was a total sport about it and gave me some simply wonderful takes. I haven't been able to play this for her yet, since she's been away, but I'm looking forward to playing it for her when she gets back.
