My new concept art for my up coming costume, Magmar. This'll be my first venture into the relm of cosplay, so please go easy on me. Not to mention, it's crazy hard to get a magmar's proportions into that of a human. But I wanted to try something a bit more challanging, that would still allow enough movement to actually enjoy conventions.

Hoping to take this guy to GenCon 2011, as there's no way (sadly) that I'll be able to make it this year. Next year is still a shot in the dark...but should I be able to make it, I'm definatly going to go prepared. :D Close friend of mine will be going as Misty. So I'll try and get a Psyduck hoodie made to goof off with her too. LoL.

Magmar will have ALOT of body padding, and a very expressive tail. His tail base will be of foam, carved so as to wag with every step I make. Dancing while wearing Magmar should be absolutely amusing. :D And how awesome would it be to sit down for a pokemon battle...only to have a Magmar sit down across from you with a deck of pkmn cards in hand, ready to dish it out?

Another friend of mine is going to try and help me get some LED wiring going for Magmar...his flames upon his head and tail will hopefully be glowing thanks to LED lights hidden amongst the fur. The rest of him will be fleece, only his fire will be faux fur.
