"Jody and Gem have been in talks with the thankfully friendly locals, and after almost a week of discussions everything is settled, and the part orders placed. They'll simply need to wait for the parts to arrive for their new acquaintances to install the repairs. The locals have also been very happy to share the cultural recipes they have with the portly travelers! Despite not eating more than they usually do (which is admittedly still a large amount for most) the two find themselves blimping up at a rather fast pace. A bit of an issue, but all they have to do is hold back on their portions. No problem right?"
