A piece written for
Halo Huskybutt. She asked for a piece which highlighted a good side and a bad side to a character, so this is what I came up with! It took a long time to get this right, but I've got it sounding almost like a 2008 Equium piece. Good or bad thing, I do not know. You can decide that one. XD
Part I: Night (0:00 - 2:23) - The darker side is first to emerge, with a sense of mystery and the unknown about it, with varying volumes and textures. It mostly revolves around one melody line with changing dynamics, before a tumultous ending. As day must follow night, it merges into the bright side.
Part II: Day (2:23 - 4:24) - A soft choir of daybreak brings the piece to peace, with a calming and relaxing feeling. The horrors of night are no longer with the character, serene and relaxed at last. As night must follow day, the piece ends in a menacing fashion, but sticking to the melody of day.

Wow! I love it. The first 2 mins were especially well written, starting off simple, almost as if your observing this character curiously, not sure what to make of it... then as the piece goes on it steadily becomes more eerie, to an almost threatening crescendo, the thought coming to mind of storm clouds letting loose torrential rain, thunder, lightning all around the character in question... then the transition at 2:30 ish, passing into the choir was superb, made me think of the storm clouds parting, streaks of sunlight coming down and lighting up ones face, transforming that terrifying visage into something of beauty, still a mystery but for a completely different reason, ultimately ending on a feeling of hope, yet the tone still letting you know that the darkness from the start is always there...
All in all incredibly well composed, throughly enjoyable and you should be very proud of yourself

Your very welcome, you always do put together amazing pieces... also my appologies for my poor grammar and spelling heh, after reading my reply through surprised you were able to understand a lot of that, prime example being "throughly".... was meant to be "thoroughly", dear me, its what I get for being up at 1 in the morning I suppose heh
