Actually from what I have read, yes, but it would make him into a full pokemon. From what I heard it said something about humans being able to be caught in pokeballs in the manga, and if they do, the pokeball would "correct it" and turn that person into a pokemon, but it's nearly impossible a pokeball to work on a human, except for with the Masterball. Which is why they are so super rare, because they carry too big of a risk of turning a person into a pokemon.
