This is something I put together as a soundtrack for a scene in a short animated film I'm working on.

The scene takes place in the Overlord Taichi's fortress. A young messenger has come to deliver a message from one of the local villages that Taichi has terrorized. Upon arriving, the messenger sees that Taichi has joined forces with foreigners who have brought their destructive weapons with them.

The messenger quickly delivers his message in hopes of leaving to warn the villagers, but his life is ended before he can escape.

This is the first time I've messed around with different "world" instruments, but I really enjoyed it. I felt it came out as a decent "bad guy" theme. If you're wondering why the last bit (starting at 1:40) is a little happier than the rest, it's because the song changes to the village theme.

Whether or not I'll keep that bit in the final piece depends on how the scenes end up flowing. Once I see how the final scene plays out, I might shorten the song, make it less repetitive, etc. Also, the ending is kinda sudden/lame, and is why I consider this still a WIP. I'm working on it ;)
