I was considering using the normal fight thumbnail for this one but since they're both Pokemon I thought "whatever" ... I don't know -.- and I... STILL HATE HOW SHORT THESE LOOK IN THE DESCRIPTION BAR!!!!! But hey, it's a Kiriban so as long as you don't hate it I'm fine ^^

~Riketz VS Zhao~

An anthro Arcanine wanders through the streets of a darkened town. The sun has set and the only illumination is the occasional streetlight. He wears a pair of beat up jeans with a few tears here and there and a black t-shirt. His wrists have two leather wristbands on them and in his right ear are two black earrings. Finally, around his neck is a silver dog tag that is connected to a black string that reads ‘Zhao’. He slides his paws into his pockets as he looks around, having stopped in a four-way intersection and a puff of smoke escapes his mouth because of the cold air, “Wish I had someone to fight… haven’t had a challenge in a while.” Suddenly he stepped back when a small white and black figure dropped from the streetlight above him, claws outstretched in a landing pose. The figure brought itself back to standing up straight and the Zangoose looks at Zhao with a smirk. Unlike normal Zangoose this one had both black claws and black everywhere that was supposed to be red, and the markings themselves were mirrored from a normal Zangoose as well,
“A challenge is what you’re after?” Zhao nods slowly before giving a friendly smile towards him,
“I’ve been training a lot and I hardly ever lose anymore. The name’s Zhao.”
“Riketz. I am an immortal Pokemon of the Unknown type. I’m sure I could prove to be more of a challenge to you. Care to test your strength to its limits?” Zhao grins at hearing this; he never could resist a fight,
“Unknown type? Can’t say I’ve ever fought a Pokemon of that type but… I thought Zangoose were Normal type.” Riketz nods to him,
“Yes, and normal Zangoose have either red or blue markings. Unknown Pokemon are so scarce in number that many believe us to be a myth, as I want it to be. I’m not worried about you telling anyone you met me seeing as Pokemon like myself are things of myth. Anyway, talk is cheap, shall I test you here or would you like to move out of town to have our little battle?” Zhao tilted his head slightly,
“Why is it you keep referring to our battle as a ‘test’?”
“Consider it an honor that I am even fighting with you at all. Normally I pass through towns without paying anyone any mind but you… you being a cross between and Arcanine and a human I have yet to see what many crossbreeds can do as far as fighting and that’s why you caught my eye.” Zhao raises an eyebrow as he listens,
“You sound pretty cocky to me.” Riketz points his claws to the edge of town,
“I suppose I could come off that way. We shall do battle over there.” Zhao looks over and nods before running off in that direction.
Riketz stands in the open field of grass, his eyes closed and his claws together as his ears occasionally twitch. Suddenly he leaps out of the way of a fireball that flies past him and his eyes open while his claws dig into the dirt, “Put more of your body into it. Your attack will fly faster that way.” Zhao stands across from Riketz, his paw outstretched and steaming,
“I’ll keep that in mind!” He rushes forward and throws a flaming punch down at the Zangoose who leaps throwing a powerful kick into his jaw making him topple over backwards. Riketz lands on his feet and brushes off his shoulder looking ahead at Zhao who gets back to his feet quickly,
“Always protect your head. I could have killed you several different ways from that stance. Now come on! Show me what you can do!!” Zhao nods and rune forward throwing a flurry of punches and kicks but Riketz’s nimble moves makes him dodge all of them as he steadily backs up. Zhao suddenly spins into an Iron Tail and Riketz throws his arm up to absorb the impact but skids about twelve feet keeping standing as he grins, “Well done.” He leaps forward retracting his claws before throwing a hard punch into Zhao’s chest knocking the wind out of him before throwing a foot against him and he vaults backwards planting his feet before springing forward again, “When your opponent can continuously strike you what should you do?!” Zhao jumps back to his feet and takes in a quick breath unleashing a powerful wave of flames,
“Stop the advance of course!” Riketz’s voice appears behind him,
“First rule of combat?” Zhao growls and spins throwing a punch forward and Riketz catches it in his palm,
“Never have your back to your opponent!” Riketz grins and appears behind him throwing a kick into his side sending him a number of feet away,
“What if you have no choice?!” Zhao doesn’t answer him as he stands up fully, a bit of blood leaking from his mouth and his eyes are closed. Riketz looks at him and smiles, (Rely on your other senses…) Riketz dashes back and forth quickly closing the gap between them and appears behind Zhao throwing a punch and Zhao spins grabbing his arm before throwing him into a tree. Riketz lands on the ground on his feet and cracks his back. He whistles to Zhao and he opens his eyes to see the Zangoose standing in front of him with his clawed paw outstretched, “Two hits, well done Zhao.” Zhao takes the outstretched paw with his own and shakes it before releasing it with a bright and happy smile,
“So what’s my grade on the test?” Riketz folds his arms with a chuckle,
“B-, keep training kid you’ve got some serious potential.” Zhao blinks,
“B-?! I threw you into a tree and I answered all your questions correctly!!” Riketz only smirks,
“It’s a decent grade to get since I wasn’t using my normal speed or strength during the fight. I didn’t want to injure you Zhao.” Zhao laughs scratching the back of his own head,
“Oh? And what is full power like?” Riketz looks at the tree next to them and throws a punch against it. A hole is blasted through the two feet of the tree and the shockwave creates a funnel making the same hole through the next twelve trees in line with that one,
“That’s what I do to people I don’t like.” Riketz grins, “Farewell.” He then disappears in a flash and Zhao inspects the hold in the tree,
“Damn… that punch had a reach of about a football field.”
