Another watercolor request for :icomsilverhuntress:. I had so much fun doing the first one in watercolor, I decided to do the same for the second. I tried yet another new here with the paint splatters. It didn't turn out very splattery... I guess it still looks okay, though, right...? Do any of you have any useful tips on making paint splatters? I tried everything I knew how.

i usually hold the paint brush i'm using firmly with one hand and use my other hand to tap it while i hold it on top of my canvas to make splatters...if that helps lol. kinda like tapping the ashes off a cigarette. beautiful work, btw. i adore watercolor

i do it a lot with watercolor, reeves brand. but the same method can be applied to acrylic stuff too. idk about oil, hah. it's real thick so it may not work as well. =]

Oh, you got it to work with watercolors? I hadn't thought of that, either! I'm going to try that next time! I used acrylic for the splatters on this one, but I think the paint was still too thick. Maybe mixing water with it would help? Another thing to try, I guess. Oh yea, I imagine using oil would be a beast :/ I'd be afraid to get it on anything else, anyway! x3

Ahh, I'm glad it's noticable! I was trying for a mirrored look, but I wasn't sure how well it had turned out in the end. Thank you!
