These birds were named Higikami only because these birds emit a squeaky "yoke" sound.
Living in tropical areas makes them completely unbearable to the cold. During cooler periods, the birds are grouped and warmed against each other.
They are stupid, which often makes them an easy target for hunters and predators.
They are extremely picky about food, prefer extremely poisonous and toxic insects. They love to eat all sorts of small bugs, worms, a special treat - large tree caterpillars, which are usually found on those trees where they build their nests.
Such a diet often poisons their mucous membranes and feces, this makes them not only beautiful, but to some extent dangerous creatures.
In their entire life, they lay 50-70 eggs, usually 5-8 eggs in one clutch. The color of the plumage will be the same as the color of the shell. Chicks are very voracious, so the birds dangle without air. Chicks acquire full plumage by three months, they begin to fly by four.
Amenable to taming and training. Most often, these birds can be found in the settlements of Diyroligos, who use them for a variety of purposes. For example, the faeces of these birds are processed and used as fertilizer for planting various plants.
