I made this one a noodlederg. It's themed around forest fires since that seems to be a big topic in the last few years, especially in the arid parts of the Americas where coyotes are native to.
This creature is only ever seen during and after a fire has burned through a forest. Nobody is really sure if it is the cause of the fire, or if it is born from it. It flies through the air riding the updrafts created by the heat of the flames. The spines on its back can change angles like fur. It exhales smoke as it howls into the wind. It disappears when the forest starts to regrow. Legend has it you can befriend one by feeding it smores.
