Taking Pride down the local Pub

Seems Lucy is celibrating pride month with her good friend, Merine. Nothing better then relaxing down a nice pub, drinks in hand and sharing a good old time (Lucy drinking iced tea instead of alcohol, she isn't really one to drink). In such a hectic few years, I think we all need to step back a little and realize something fairly obvious to most, but some don't seem to understand: be happy and be yourself, no matter what others tell you. Don't matter the race, sex, gender identity or orientation. Just as long as you are happy and take pride in who you are despite whatever people or outside factors give it, make sure to never stop being you since as something been wanting to say for a while.
All lives matter since as much as I appreciate what the black lives matter movement is doing, I feel that in doing so, misses the same point the people inflicting these horrible injustices apon them have missed: that it never should of mattered what race you were, what gender you are or anything else. What should matter is your actions, taking responsibility for those actions (good or bad) and being able to say that at the end of the day, we are all people just trying to live out our lives. Yes, we don't always agree, yes, people can be awful things to each other and to anything around us, but like most things, we should judge ourselves and others by the things they say and the things they do because that is the only way to bring about fair judgement when it judged not for the colour of someone's skin, their gender or their gender identity/orientation, but because they have done or said something that requires judgement.
Be patient, dears; one day, I hope that all people are treated equally and are also judged as indiviuals, not as a class/race/gender, but as what is deemed appropriate and sensible.
Sorry for the tangent, I need it off my chest

There will come a time when you and many others will see things that way. A time when people will not make a big deal about their sexuality, race, religion, beliefs, or sexual orientation. A time when people will look beyond the superficial traits and understand that that's not what makes them special. A black person is no better than a white person and a gay person is no more special than a straight person. Of course, today is not that day yet. We still have people clinging to labels, defining themself and cutting themselves away from rest because they think there is that much of a difference. I look forward to that day, a day when people stop taking pride in the superficial and take pride in what they accomplish.
