Rei cocked an eyebrow as his sharp sight caught a tiny bit of motion just beside his foot. He’d dismissed it as some insects scurrying about in the grass at first but soon realized that the tiny thing – whatever it was seemed oddly insistent on staying right beside his toes. His curiosity piqued – he leaned in closer, recognizing the tiny critter not as a bug, but a human!
“Doesn’t this just beat all?” The looming woren spoke up. “What’s a little guy like you doing all the way down there?” With a chuckle, he gave his toes a wiggle. “You’re not attracted to my toes, are you?”
Meanwhile down below, Markus continued desperately calling out to the giant, begging him to lean in and pay attention. Just out of sight, just beneath Rei’s notice, little Bryan was stuck between the toes of the tiger’s other foot. The tiny critter was struggling to break free from their vice grip in vain, slipping further and further down, while Rei relaxed in the open fields, totally ignorant to the pleas of the little man he was unknowingly torturing.

An absolutely incredibly piece I commissioned from the extremely talented
Xamz featuring Rei, The Woren Rogue from Breath of Fire III.
I've been meaning to get something with this handsome catboy for a good long while now, BoF3 is a childhood favorite that I don't really see a lot of people talking about. It's kinda like Final Fantasy but more furry.

Oh gods, someone actually remembers this game...I will admit, my heart belongs to the first one for its simplicity and purity of its story...also for a cool lets play on the LP archives that brings in some stuff from the manga, but III is quite good as well. Also, an interesting pic. I know a lot more people favor his female counterpart from II, though I'll admit that none of them really interested me too much for size fun.
Hey! I loved the first game as well! Played the re-release on the GBA back in the day way more than I'd ever care to properly admit. I think can safely say I like BoF1 better than BoF3, but I'm also outrageously horny for Rei so... here we are, hahah! Never much cared for females myself, if you catch my drift~
Ah, I see. That does indeed make sense. And yeah, I've played that game a few dozen times myself since I was a kid. I could get all the way to Auria after a single day in the old SNES. Fun times. Also, a lovely game to boot. I think the old pixel art still holds up.
And that's fine. This series always did have some good big guys in it. From Ox in the first, to Rand in the second, to Rei and his counterpart in four...also Silas, or whatever his name was. The dog samurai who nearly stepped on Nina after the fairies shrink her.

Breath of Fire is just a really... bizarre series. In a good way. The thing that got me to replay BoF3 recently is a cameo by the entire BoF3 party in a goddamn Sonic x Megaman crossover comic. Just felt a rush of nostalgia at the sight of Rei and the others. Couldn't resist the chance to replay an old favorite and actually clear it for the first time. I used to use cheats to get through the desert.
Oh and if we're talking good big boys, shout out to Garr! A problematic adoptive father when we needed one most.

Ah, sometime that does happen, and you never know at this point, Capcom in the last few years seems to be finally remembering they have like, a dozen franchises from the classic era that could easily be made today with a sequel. Mega Man 11, DMC5, etc. Breath of Fire could hopefully wind up on that list...especially after 6's abysmal performance.
