So, this is how my sketches look. I use about 4-5 layers for the sketch too, for hair, clothes (and with Flickie here, his ears), the body, sometimes the head. Sometimes I break down the body itself into several layers to help with positioning. I used that tactic, breaking down the body into 2 layers for the sitting pose as the chest covers some of his face. I wasn't entirely sure how I wanted it to look, so my lack of confidence made it compelling.
The other pose was a breeze to make by contrast. Very free pose, stretched out, long, etc. I quite liked making the clothes hang like that.
I'm not sure if I'll finish either of these, I might finish the upside down one. It's very fun in my eyes. So, stay tuned I suppose.
