It's a bird! It's a plane!
Nah it's just a demon derg chillin'~
Never quite finished this one but I like it how it is. It's fairly well-known by now that Grey, my Moogle/dragon hybrid prince, got inhabited by a demon that pretty much is him at this point. This is him in his mostly non-demonic form.
He's friendly, give him some pats! He totally won't consume your soul.
Oh yeah, for folks that don't know the whole story behind it, lemme give ya a summary. One day, Grey was doing an incantation for some of his magical studies, when he accidentally opened a rift to an alternate universe/dimension full of demons. Majorly not good cause Grey doesn't quite know how to close such a rift, so while he tried his best something still managed to slip through. And that something of course went straight for the most powerful magical object in the vicinity... Grey!
Turns out it could've been worse though. As the entity explained to Grey, it had in fact used it's own powers to stop anything else besides itself from escaping, and closed the rift behind itself, otherwise it could've been a free-for-all! It did this for both selfish and selfless reasons. It saw great potential in Grey as a young but capable magician, and felt both a desire to protect him, and to make use of him.
Truth be told, it also saw itself in Grey somewhat. An outcast prince, run away from home to escape a life he just didn't belong in. The entity, too, was an outcast, long ago. Something of a pipsqueak, even. And there never seemed to be a way to prove itself to others, no one else would accept it no matter what it tried. Instead, it had to work it's way up the hard way, taking over and absorbing more and more other demons and magical entities, till eventually, it became so powerful no one would dare question it's supremacy! But even then, with fear it's only grasp of control, it still always felt a lack of something deep within... A friend~
Also, more art to come soon. Yep, my backlog truly spans to the moon and back.
