One of two quick doodles I did in my journal. If you look real close you can see a little bit of the second one through the page. Image was too big for my scanner, so I had to use one of my cameras on my staircase to get out of the harsh light in my living room.
Going off how my mind tends to design, I'm going to take a swing and say my brain was trying to go for an aquatic sorta dragon. I also get the feeling it's supposed to be male. ^_^;

I've been fooling with non photo blue. It seems to be "all the rage", so I thought I'd give it a try.
I honestly don't like it much, Hard to erase, and most scanners these days are "LIDE", which picks up EVERYTHING with laser precision. So scanning with non-photo is kinda pointless.

Yeah, I used to have a scanner that skipped blues.
These days if you want to ink and not have to erase you need to use a certain color, scan it, then get rid of that color in the channels.
Someone else mentioned that way for a piece recently. I think they said they used red.

Yeah I can see how removing the red or blue channel would remove the sketch lines. In fact, that's not a bad idea. I'd consider working more in non-photo blue if it were that easy.
But to be honest, my parents gave me a set of Staedtler pencils in the metal tins they come in for my 16th birthday when I started drawing furries. And I've kinda grown attached to it. Ya know? Just starting out as a furry artist, and this is something I have to remember.

Yeah, never was much of a furry artist before a few years ago. Was just a regularart student back in the day and was almost hired by a few good graphics firms. Then I got popular among some circles too quick for my liking and disappeared. I refuse to say or answer to my old pen name. Helps that I'm REALLY out of practice. ^_^;
