It wasn't quite as bad as the last several weeks, in which going outside made you feel sick from all that heat. In fact, it was finally getting around to rain and jacket weather; brief as it would be.
Amongst the people sitting inside the bar and diner was a small cat, awaiting a recently ordered vanilla soda. Not one soul paid him any mind, and in turn, he paid them no mind.
As he stared off into space, he looked ahead with a blank, soulless expression; his gray eyes reflecting his utter lack of feeling, and his white coat and gray thin v-neck complemented his gaze.
It was one of those looks that not only expressed no feeling, but also seemed to leech off the feelings of others; not in an uncomfortable way either, but in that way that invited you too it without making you wonder if this was wrong or not.
As he sat still on the burgundy chair, he hardly even blinked. The feline was still as stone; even his clothes looked like carved rock. The only sign that proved he alive was his whiskers tingling in the wind whenever someone rushed in from the windy rain. The outside was a dark gray that matched the feline's eyes, as was the cold air. It seemed to call out to him as he sat; drawing to him...seducing him...
*ahem*
He looked up, and noticed the waiter holding a plastic bottle.
"Here you are, sir." he said.
Cream blinked, and shook his head. They were just thoughts of course.
He took the bottle from the waiter and opened it immediately.
"Thank you." He said.
