This one will take a little bit of explaining...so, a long while back, when I still had a tumble for my Zoot AU content, a fanfiction author contacted me about using one of my characters (Vernon Hunter) in a Zootopia superhero AU fic series. Vernon was going to play the role of "The Moth", which was basically batman meets the scarecrow in terms of vigilante justice. Needless to say I absolutely loved the idea, and the fic was awesome for a while....till it abruptly stopped. Not sure exactly what happened, as it was a fun read (and not just because my character was in it.) and parts of the whole concepts kept lapping at the back of my brain until I had mulled over a whole superhero zoot AU of my own based around my stable of characters.

The "Red Whirr" was my idea on a role for my character Val, the snarky vixen with a love for motorcycles. In the AU, I simply cranked her mechanical wizardry up to eleven, making her a low-key genius. As such, she takes her Motorcycle "Red" to the next level by making it so the motorcycle can turn into an armored suit. These first sketches leaned more toward a pure 'Iron-man' kinda thing, complete with the palm jets. But later I changed things around to make room for her primary weapon of choice, a compound bow with a variety of custom bolts. You'll see that in the second post.

I had other..."Ideas", for Gus, and the side characters, but Vernon and Dawn were more or less transplants from that author's AU, as the concepts were too good. I also came up with some ideas for Judy, Nick and Finnick, who would play the role of "Registered heroes" in this AU, whereas Vernon and the others would be a united group of vigilantes.
