Deva: "Sorry. Anyway, as Ariel may have told you, humans are considered mythical where I'm from and are high-risk for all kinds of exploitation. So much so that, ordinarily, I'd need to notify command and they would appoint a personal guarian A.S.A.P. But we're also forbidden from divorcing any sort of 'bond pair', so... Well, this is where you come in Olli." *pets him again* "So how would you describe your relationship? Siblings? Spouses?"
Olli: "Grrr..."
Deva: "I'll just leave that blank for now." *starts typing* "Okay, not our first Mightyena, so all of this I already know..." *clicks* "And that'll do it. I'm your owner now." *pause* "Which, again, is purely for legal reasons. Technically, I've got hundreds of pets, but if you exclude the Pokemon menagerie and the ferals, I'm only actually keeping..." *looks up as she counts in her head* "-ten to twelve." *pets them both* "It's entirely up to you if, or for how long, you stay here, and you're always welcome to come and go as you please. You know, provided that anyone capable of navigating the Distortion World is available at the time."
(long awkward pause)
Deva: "Umm... Kiwi? Are you purring?" *smiles and caresses her cheek* "Aww. Have I got a keeper after all?"
Olli: "Grrr..."
Deva: "Umm... Is that at me for petting her, or at Kiwi for enjoying it?"
