Month of The Rowan Tree:
This tree protects people from evil, and allows those that are protected to determine good from bad, harm from help, and friend from foe.
Our pet Lillian was with us for quite a while! And… she grew quite large - twice the size of any normal lobster. My only real concern with her growth was either that she would mate with another lobster and spread the mutation (which was easily fixed), or that she would grow out of control. Seeing how large she’s grown now, I’m not sure she can have normal interactions with other lobsters anymore. This may be why she’s spent less time in the water, and more time on the surface the past few months.
Yuaad on the other had, believes Lillian is like us, and wanted to escape the creatures in the sea so she could be alone. Even if that were the case, it would be because of what I’ve done to her.
Before Lillian underwent altercations, I kept a sample of her genetic structure. With this pure part of her, I could sample her current structure and observe the mutation. This might have been where I got my worst idea yet.
I was going to create a new life form with synthetic DNA. I already made plenty of small studies with her pure and mutated structure, but nothing significant came from it. I tried to make life from small insects and fish, but they didn’t interact successfully with her DNA. I moved onto sampling her DNA with larger creatures, and finally I saw signs that indicated several genetic matches with her. I didn’t think much of it at the time, but I checked my own DNA with hers, and saw that it was compatible. That’s when it struck me – it was possible to make some life form with the genetics of a dinosaur and a lobster.
My mind was racing after that. I couldn’t believe it. I…
I have to do this.
I got started on the project right away. The end of the month is nearing, and I’m just about ready. I plan to tell Yuaad in a bit. This thing, if it all works, I think it would be considered my child.
I wasn’t even sure if it would work out, but it would be my aim to create this new life form. I did have a problem, thinking of Lillian as my pet, since from what I could tell she wasn’t an intellectual creature. But then I thought of Yuaad and Don. Maybe I would always think some creatures were more intellectual than others, even if by definition, Lillian was not like the rest of us. But…

I like the tree month naming thing. And you've had some neat thoughts through Yuaad about the similarity between her and their pet! And uh-oh! :O It seems a bit odd that he didn't tell Yuaad before he actually started his gene crossing experiment, as if he's still having trouble seeing her as an equal decision-maker, but, of course, there are a number of reasons why he might have put off doing so. Like, if she's a bit more sensitive to the intellect of seemingly lesser creatures, and thinks that Lillian might be like them in substantial ways, she might object to doing such drastic experiments, even if she's okay with the ones he's done so far. And the special similarities in DNA could even be a sign that Yuaad is closer to the truth.
In any case, I'm really looking forward to seeing how this all turns out!
I really like the almost thoughtful-looking Lillian looking out to see! And those're some cool transform-y diagrams too! :D Yay for more exciting and complex Nishi stories and piccies!

It is a tricky situation with the whole pets and species and equal sorta thinking thing, probably would have been best for him to be upfront about what he was doing too! But we'll be sure to find out how that turns out next time. :3
And transformation things are fun, I like seeing how work progresses over time! Woop woop :D Thanks as always!

Héhé Nice job li'l Hamster... I've discovered A hidden talent in you.... a writer talent. You've realise what we call in French ''un tour de force'' by concentrating the story in the body of the story, in the words.... The image is there to give imformations to the readers... I really like how your story is turning out...the way it's taking shape. Nice job my friend

How very suspenseful and dramatic. You can really feel the dilema in which Dr. Ama is in as he delights in his first love, science, while being uncertain how his most recent love, Yuaad, will react to that part of him.
On this track, I can't help but recall how well you conveyed emotional feelings back in Circles. The way you delved into the feelings of each character there was quite impressive. Now, with Dr. Ama, it can definately be seen how that series in writing, coupled with the past year's experience, has culminated to create a most gripping tale where your audience can bond and share in the thoughts and experiences of a character who posseses the level of depth Dr. Ama is meant to have.
On a final note, I must touch on Dr. Ama's overall situation by noting, as people, we all have things that, as individuals, we enjoy and hold dearly in our hearts. However, when we find others whose company makes us happy, it can be hard to balance the person we are with the person we want to be for those we hold dear to our hearts.
In the case of Dr. Ama, it's especially hard as, I'm sure, he feels torn by wanting to involve Yuaad in his love for scince. However, he is fearful that such an interest may drive her away. This makes for a most unique dilemma in which, in all honesty, Dr. Ama will never be truly at peace unless he can feel comfortable in knowing Yuaad appreciates him for all he is while, at the same time, he is able to respect all she is as well. :)

Hehe, I guess we can both relate to sorta settling who we are with who we want to be with and all those sorta related things. (: That's probably what the nicer part about being a recluse was - he could just do whatever he wanted on his own island and not worry about other people's feelings during his work. But people bring out all sortsa feelings in each other, so I'd think it's hard to stay that way. X3 We'll see if they'll be able to work things out. :3
