The next character I drew for Pride Month is a classic character from Sega's NiGHTS series, NiGHTS themself, who is Non-Binary. Takashi Iizuka, the director of NiGHTS into dreams has stated that NiGHTS' gender is up to player interpretation, which makes sense considering NiGHTS is a being that exists in dreams and has the ability to dualize with a dreamer, so it would be important for the dreamer to feel comfortable merging their being with NiGHTS, which would be hampered by NiGHTS being a gender unlike the dreamer. NiGHTS isn't the only Non-Binary character in video games, though they're certainly my favorite, on top of having a bright and vibrant design (speaking of that I decided to draw their classic design because I didn't feel like drawing the embroidering on their Journey into Dreams design) they seem very fun and creative, also I noticed while drawing NiGHTS that they happen to have all the colors of the Non-Binary flag in their design, which I think is a fun coincidence.
