Compass
This is sort of industrial style as well. The gears do indeed move, as does the hands. The clasp is in the same style.
i have to admit, I really do like this piece :)

Here is a video of the gears moving. ^_^ Enjoy!

The reason i didn't call it steampunk? Is because Steampunk implements the gears and such with Victorian style things. Hence was why I was leaning more towards calling it industrial.
Either way? Since I've done this and steampunk? I love the styles ^_^ And thank you for the compliment.

Well that depends hun. how badly do i Need to do this? Perhaps i could....after all it would be good to have as a ref for the necklace, since it is one of the cooler parts.
I'll strongly consider this. I think the only reason i'm even balking at the idea is because of how long it takes for Youtube to upload a video. and i'm on unstable wireless connection.
But we shall see. Thank you for the suggestion.

Thanks! i thought it was pretty cool. Actually one of my other buyers for my first peice sort of put the bug in my ear. He said he had wished the gears moved. So...from now on, unless specified, all my pieces with gears and such, if it's possible. Will move!
and thank you for the compliment!

[I cannot beleive I've missed these comments! Imma bad kitty :(]
Thank you very much. I'm trying my hand at steampunk, getting a feel for it. I really like the style, and how i can make my pendents from scratch rather than buying some random pendent at a store.

It mostly depends hun. The base price starts at 50.00, and since everything is unique, no 2 are the exact same., so lets say you wanted the Compass heart, I would have to find a heart similar to this one, and of course the gears and such. The end result would be about 65.00 not including shipping and handling.
oh no that one has been sold, while I can make one Similar to it, it won't be exact as I wouldn't be able to get that exact heart anymore. As for metals, I use whatever it is the customer wants for me to use. If i'm making it to sell non comission, it's copper, silver, gold, silver plated, I think some nickle [though i do try to stay clear of that.]
I do special orders though. I only want Good reactions from my customers ;) not bad or allergic reactions ^^

Actually I do not, the reason for this is because each peice I make is very unique, and the prices vary on the cost of material.
Now in This case? I have some of what I'd need, gears and such..however, due to the allergy, I would want to make sure everything else, the stuff Touching your skin would Not be metal. So, like I would order copper chain [unless you're allergic? then something else...] and then we'd find a base [preferably filligree ] pendant that would work. Orrrrrrr [and this is even better ] we check out what is at michael's since we got all new things in ^^ and see if there's something there that will work. [i work at michaels so I get a little discount ^^]
In the end, time, labor and of course materials may end up being about 50-ish...of course I'm trying to keep costs down, I know my steam-punk stuff is kinda pricey.
I also have an Etsy store that you're welcome to check out. The link is on my front page at the bottom. There is also something of a price list there too on my front page.
