I designed a character for a potential Fursuit, so meet the Chunky Dragon Seyla.
I would really appreciate comments on her, as I'm about to send this image off to
beastcub in hopes of getting one of her commission spots this year. I'm really nervous about it because I'd really really like to get a spot and this may be my only chance. I've admired her fursuits for a long time and... well, this is a big opportunity for me.
Seyla was built with a couple of goals in mind:
First and foremost, I needed a suit I could actually FIT into. I'm a big girl and I needed an equally big character.
Second, I wanted a suit I could use at non-furry conventions. The beautiful thing about Seyla is that she passes for just about any type of convention. Blizzcon? I'm a bronze dragon! Sci-fi fantasy? I'm a Dragonborn! Anime? ...Well, I probably won't be attending Anime conventions.

First of all, I don't think you need to worry too much about whether or not your potential suit would make sense at the various events you want to attend. Most of the fursuiters I know seem to wear their generic fox and wolf suits to any and all events, and sometimes even for no reason at all. However, if this character really is more than just something you threw together because she would "make sense" in plenty of situations, then go for it! She does indeed look very cute.
Unfortunately, I have to add that beastcub's suits always look odd and creepy to me. I'm not really sure, but I think it's mostly in the eyes... But, if you really like her work, then that's all that matters, right?

looks like you designed her like digitigrade suits so the knee pushes out and stuff.
One think I would comment on is the robe- is it meant to be part of the suit? worn as a partial suit? worn over the suit?
If it's the later, you might want to include a disrobed version of the character (looks like she's going commando there already) so the pattern for belly scales can be shown.
