Olio is a harlequin octopus who was raised by gibbons and is possibly the first of their kind to live primarily on land. Like most octopi in their universe, they are of one body but many minds, all of which take turns controlling the head while the others reside in the tentacles, in full control of their respective appendages.
Olio is able to speak but prefers using sign language, as it feels far more natural. They're very skilled at swinging through the trees, but have trouble with swimming. In fact, they're rather afraid of deep water.
