This week the prompt was 'arrogant' and instead of pressing forward with that, I settled upon the contronym.

A contronym, often referred to as a Janus word or auto-antonym, is a word that evokes contradictory or reverse meanings depending on the context. Specifically, a contronym is a word with a homonym (another word with the same spelling but different meaning) that is also an antonym (a word with the opposite meaning).

Good Lord, could we make things any more confusing? That had to be written by Congress.

This is a true story. It is a thank you to someone in my life a long time ago. It is also a memory I wanted to preserve just so I can read it again when my brains are more clouded than they are already.

If you wish to pass this one up, I would not hold it against you. Everyone has a past, and sometimes it might sound boring to strange ears; but it's what you learn from that past that matters.
