"Dad! Dad! Dad! Dad!-"

The general quiet of the morning was broken by the calls of one of the cubs, followed by it's little feet padding away as it sprinted across the ground up to the lion. Before he could ask what was happening the young one answered him.

"You missed it! There was this grasshopper and it was hopping around and landed on this big rock and then I pounced on it and caught it. Then mom told me to let it go but I was like 'This is my prey!' and I ate it! Mom said it was disgusting but I like it!"

The father listened to the story, enraptured by the little one's tale as it continued blathering on. While nothing important, and indeed disgusting, he was still proud of it's work. The small victory over this insect made him joyful.



I don't always want to do balloons and inflatables... and often start on something unrelated to that. This was fortunately something that came close enough to a done state that I felt like it should be shared. A break from my normal stuff, and fingers crossed you all will see some more in the future... interspersed in the normal looney content that is. I would appreciate comment/critique on this especially.
