I first drew this over a year ago, in April 2020. Back then things were so different from now. I was still writing my novel, the first draft of it. Now I'm editing it and rewriting some bits from scratch, adding bits, changing a lot of things, toning down the mature themes a bit.
I've decided that Cruise's design will change. His fur will eventually cover most of his body, with purple spots down his back, his torso, his thighs and shoulders. So I put purple spots down his thighs. I've gone back in time and made it so he always had them.
The eyes have been changed, they're a deeper purple and more human looking. Still slightly catlike though. Less snakelike, more catlike. I think they look much better now.
Cruise's nipples are gone. The original had both nipples and testicles showing, just a little. That was a really bad idea. If I'm going to publish this I need to be more careful. So I've hidden them as best I can.
I've basically just gone back and re-inked and re-scanned and Photoshopped it, generally turned it into as much of a professional looking cover image as I can.
