This story is written for
zeelo
Zeelo is blessed with by the red crystal and finds himself in a familiar form he can't seem to name. More important to that, he finds himself in a post-apocalyptic city, everything in ruins all except for a single tower with a red aura glowing from above the clouds. A meeting with a new friend reveals the nature of the tower and the city's state. And soon there is a race to reach the top of the tower before the rest of the world experiences the same catastrophe that occurred here.

Yup! Odin is the All Father in Norse mythology.
Though aside from having Sleipner as his steed I don't think FF Odin has a lot to do with the mythical Odin. They tend to take some liberties with myths and stuff.
Like how Shiva is some kind of lady ice spirit instead of the god of destruction.
