For a while now I've been toying with the idea of changing Callista (my 'fursona'). Recently, I've come to the conclusion that dreadlocks are awesome, though I'm not convinced they came out well.
Ah well, this was a late night doodle, so if I bombed, I bombed.
Her scales don't look like they usually do because I wanted to fiddle with a different shading type.
Worthy of Note: Full credit for Callie's new hairdo goes to :
DemonofMyst:, who showed me just how awesome lizards with scale tendrils look.
I owe you a gift doodle or story (your choice) for inspiring me!

The whole tendril thing is because lizards dont have hair, but I dont want her to be bald either. So I developed elongated sections of scale links which I call tendrils. Because they are wrapped around extentions of her epidermal layer, it hurts to cut them, which is a draw back, but women already suffer for style, what's alittle blood too.
If you had seen the fursonas I had before myst, you'd probably understand how I came to the decision myself. I always try to stick as close as possible to the actual animal they're based off of. So I thought "How do I give her hair... without hair..." and was like... SCALES!!
