'As the ship was lifted out of the water the few crewmembers Vasha could see fell to the deck. It seems they had not spotted her before it was to late.
They were panicking at the moment and Vasha could see a lot of activity on the deck but she doubted the ship's crew could do much now. There did not seem to be many crewmembers on deck, Vasha was hoping most of them were currently below deck , otherwise it would be a fairly disappointing catch. Although considering she had not expected to find one she was still quite happy about it.
The ship had been spotted when Vasha was swimming back to the island she had chosen as a hideout. She was surprised to see it as ships usually avoided these waters but if they wanted to offer themselves up like this she would not complain.
Now then what would be the best approach for dealing with this one...?'

So, I've been having some issues with motivation lately and wanted to draw something for myself (For those of you still waiting for pictures from my last journal don't worry I'm still working on those).
Since I was having a bit of trouble getting started I thought I might revisit some of the sketches I did last september for my selfimposed art-challenge.
I picked this one because I kind of wanted to draw something for a themed-month (which I usually don't) and I thought this one would work well for 'Mer-May'.
So Vasha is now a mermaid in this. I know that is not obvious in this image but I have also been working on another image of pirate Vasha where you can actually see the tail-fin. Unfortunately it seems I was not be able to finish both of them before the end of May so I guess the other one will have to be posted later.
