Commission for  Laughing_Goose. King Mafic, named 'king' because of the horns on his head remind others of a crown. Being seen to reside in dormant and extinct volcanos, King Mafic will at times make those volcanos active, again, to chase away any the come near his territory. When hibernating (5 months to 2 years), villages and towns have been built near his homes resulting in being destroyed as soon as his hibernation ends.

When seeing protentional trespassers nearing too close to his home, he will bang his fists on his hard shelled chest to ward off anyone that gets too close. The sound of his hard chest creates a loud drum like sound. Some believed it was at times King Mafic does it to encourage war between neighboring lands so he may sit on top of his volcano as he watches. Others have said that he just has a taste for music. Regardless, when anyone gets too close to a volcano that has a drum beat coming from it, they know to stay away.

The blue jewel around his neck is said to belonged to a mate of his, so he keeps it he keeps close to his own heart as he searches for her. They both have a habit of loosing one another with their bad sense of directions
