You only got prison if you were lucky, most of the time they just killed you in the old times. Still a good read. The 'Darth Vader' style of strangulation is neat. I would have written it a slow 180 twist. Wonderful job, is this connected somehow with your previous Carnal story?
Every story within Carnal is set in the same world. As time goes by, many of the characters will encounter each other, and events in one story will have an impact on the next.
As for the strangulation, magic manifests itself differently in every capable individual. In Mira's case, that is telekinesis.
