The eight foot amazon of fur and fang yelped in surprise and recoiled as the mirror flashed. Her long ears batted the lamp, and only the proximity of the wall behind her stopped Luc from entirely collapsing on the ground.
Her hackles rose with embarassment, fur standing on end across her vast form, but her eyes adjusted to see no threat. Things weren’t normal, but they didn’t seem scary.
The mirror was no dark, covered in vibrant blood red writing, listing:
<Lucas Bernando. VamWolf. Level 1.>
<STR: 23 DEX: 12 CON: 30 INT: 11 WIS: 6 CHA: 12>
More statistics followed, the statistics for the character she’d been creating in the game, but also not. She apparently had five levels in pop culture, one level in english, and a gratifying eight levels in mechanics- clearly the knowledge of her real life.
But then there was stuff like levels in Drain-Bite, Resilient Body, Keen Senses, Nocturnal Apex, and a confusing half level in Flight (“How do you get created with a 0.5 level!”) and then more concerning aspects:
<Fire Vulnerability: 2> <Silver Vulnerability: 3> <Holy Vulnerability: 3> <Radiant Vulnerability: 50> <Garlic Vulnerability: 1>
“Stay out of the sunshine. Okay. Good to know.” Luc growled, letting her eyes drift to the large text at the bottom of her “sheet”.
<PERKS AVAILABLE: 3>
<Alpha: Ability to coerce lupine beings>
<Beast Form: Ability to transform into a suitable animal>
<Blood Bond: Ability to make loyal familiar>
<Ceaseless Hunger: Ability to consume additional mass or concepts>
<Charm: Ability to coerce beings>
<Daywalker Lustre: Sparkles>
<Empathic Senses: Ability to sense thoughts>
<Hemomage: Open gateway to allow learning of Blood Magic>
<Lunar Rebel: Ability to transform without full moon>
<Metamorphic Initiate: Minor shape-shifting ability>
<Resilient Body: Lvl 5: Greatly enhance physical defence>

Short explanation:
A loyal familiar is ALWAYS an asset, a boon in every situation I can think of, even if they're at most useful as a watch animal, but morethan likely' they're at the very least smarter than the normal for their animal, if not as smart as a human. The assistance can range from mundane reminders to stay on task to actually assisting with work and such.
Being able to transform without the full moon is a BIG DEAL, because if you're only able to wolf-out for three days a month, you're locked out of a huge boost in physical power (and intimidation). Most non-curse werewolves can, in fact, transform pretty much at will, and even the "I am not a total monster" curse types are often only *forced* to transform during the full moon. In essence, in DnD terms I would call this a Feat Tax, something you have to take. This is on the assumption that the werewolf form (as seen here in the art) is not the base form.
The minor shape-shifting ability will be a must for being out and about in human society, and getting everything in order.
----
Now I made some assumptions based on some things...
<Ceaseless Hunger: Ability to consume additional mass or concepts>
This one looked good, but it's too vague. Consume additional mass for what purpose? And ...concepts? How does that work? Not enough information.
<Charm: Ability to coerce beings>
One that was tempting, but ultimately she's got two big bonuses to that already, and the downsides of if the charm is resisted are just... bad.
<Daywalker Lustre: Sparkles>
Also very tempting, and was on the shortlist because it means that, sparkles or not, she can go out in the day. That wouldn't reduce *radiant damage*, just mean that simple sunlight wouldn't hurt her.
<Alpha: Ability to coerce lupine beings>
I'm sure a lot of people would go for Alpha, but it's very VERY limited - only to lupines. So not dogs. Unless you mean anything under Canis lupus, which would include dogs...
<Beast Form: Ability to transform into a suitable animal> This was literally in the final four, but was cut.
<Empathic Senses: Ability to sense thoughts>
I'm assuming you mean emotions rather than thoughts, but this can be replaced with training (and enhanced senses from vampire+werewolf).
<Hemomage: Open gateway to allow learning of Blood Magic>
Summercat's Rules of Magic state THOU SHALT NOT FUCKING MESS WITH BLOOD MAGIC, THAT SHIT ALWAYS TURNS OUT BADLY EVEN WHEN YOU LIMIT YOURSELF TO YOUR OWN BLOOD OR BLOOD GIVEN WITH INFORMED CONSENT.
<Resilient Body: Lvl 5: Greatly enhance physical defence>
She's got an insane CON score. I'd actually be tempted by this if she was going to be a brawler type for certain, but seeing as this is her life and not a RPG (hehe), she's better off shoring up weaknesses than enhancing her already strong strengths.
<Umbral Novice: Minor shadow-shifting ability>
Let's be honest. Look at her. If she's doing stuff out there in Adventurer Land, subtlety is NOT going to be her strong suit. Shadows will not be helpful.
Now I made my decisions based on a few assumptions, some of which I'm now wondering about, and some that no longer make any sense now that I spent some more time on it (My meds are kicking in.)
1) I assumed Alpha would work only on wolves, rather than all of Canis Lupis (Which does include dogs)
2) The status and state of her transformation during full moons - does the full moon turn her into the hybrid form, or a quad-wolf form, or a bestial-wolf form?
3) I'm assuming a Hidden World type of scenario where The Supernatural is hidden from most people's eyes, and suddenly turning into an anthro-wolf wouldn't be "Just fill out this paperwork to update your license" type of situation.
-edit- I read a lot of Litrpg....

Wow, what a in depth analysis. Tried to keep these vague to allow for future sub skill evolution, but I'll clarify some stuff.
Hunger was kinda inspired by "What we do in the shadows", psychic vampires, where they cause frustration or anger and essentially eat via trolling people.
Since this is modern set, I'd probably allow Alpha to work on dogs with that canis lupus form.
Also I tend to lump my modern characters in the same kitchen sink world, so not sure on the hidden world thing. Her life would be easier if people don't know she's a vampire though, that's a fair assumption!

Oh, and 4) What her intent with her new life is going to be.
Almost regardless of the answers, Empahtic, Hemomage, Umbral Novice, Alpha, and Charm get dropped from the list immediately. Alpha might get promoted based on clarification.
Resilient Body, Daywalker, Ceaseless Hunger are on low on the list, although depending on how Ceaseless Hunger works, that might instantly go to the top, as it could get broken. So broken. So very broken.
Minor Shapeshifting, Beast Form, and Lunar Rebel are all tied for the high list, primarily due to questions on how they differ from base racial abilities and how lunar shapeshifting works.
Blood Bond is a must take - a second pair of eyes that are LOYAL to you, that you can trust unconditionally, is always a boon.

Oh, you mean like Motivore or Adfectivore - she would derive sustence from emotions and feelings ( as well as physical sources). That makes it get cut from the immediate choice but kept in mind based on how much her food budget changes.
Since this is modern set, I'd probably allow Alpha to work on dogs with that canis lupus form.
That improves Alpha to the top of my low list, as its much more useful.
Also I tend to lump my modern characters in the same kitchen sink world, so not sure on the hidden world thing. Her life would be easier if people don't know she's a vampire though, that's a fair assumption!
That probably makes Minor Shapeshifting a must-take IMO, because that would allow her to hide her vampiric features. The rest could be waved off as "I bumped into someone on the way home from work and they said some mumbo jumbo and I didn't pay attention until I got home and turned into this".

well i choose:
Beast Form
Hemomage
Blood Bond
I was not thinking of a "combo" of skills as such, I just thought that it would be the "basic" or starting skills that I should have.
Although if it is from "history" the character is more related to "royalty" either vampire or werewolf, that of "alpha" and "Daywalker Luster" would be unavoidable options.Since they may not be "acquired" in a game system unless there are "special urination".
some I found interesting:
Umbral Novice, Metamorphic Initiate, Lunar Rebel, Beast Form
but if it is about "combos", a combination that I find interesting would be Alpha, Blood Bond and Umbral Novice.
because? A long time ago I read in a story a "complex" skill called "wolf king". Basically it is to "command / call" other species of wolves and, if there is no "answer" to the "call", shadow wolves are invoked.
That is, those 3 skills (Alpha, Blood Bond and Umbral Novice), in terms of "combo" I imagine him doing something similar.

Those are very much the vibes I was trying to go for, her howling and conjuring up a pack of shadow wolves or something when she's higher level is a cool image. And maybe in game her parents would have included lost royalty, that's a pretty standard RPG trope right?
She might get other Perk points in the future, but generally however she "level ups" will be improving what she's got.

I mean, in the future is it still possible for me to acquire "Alpha and Umbral Novice"? It would be interesting if in future votes it would have that combination of familiar shadow wolves and / or blood wolves. Both in the sense of "common vampire wolf" to "wolf king of the night".
Ceaseless Hunger is a must. With 30 con we probably don't need any more Resilient Body just yet. Curious as to whether Lunar Rebel is necessary to keep up the wolf side all month, and whether Daywalker Lustre would help with that pesky Radiant vulnerability. If the answer to those is yes, than those are my other choices. If it's a no on either one, my next picks would be Charm and Blood Bond.
Metamorphic Initiate: She certainly needs a chance to blend in, to avoid attention from high-level military forces before she's ready :P
Charm: Good for building soft power, and very fun if it can be used while shapeshifted. Plus I like unconventional builds.
Empathic Senses: Feels like a good complement to Charm.
