I wonder how Elestians designed the Posean mating cycle. How often are they fertile and what effects on their body do those fertility cycles have? Most human uteruses shed their lining once every lunar cycle or so, I bet that would be alarming to those it affects if that's the case. I wonder how much sexual education they got from their guardians?

Well seeing that Moi cannot see because they "do not want to", maybe the same applies here and Webings cannot hear unpleasant loud noises

Going with my theory, I think he lost his nerves or concentration in at least one critical moment because of loud noises and so he can't hear those anymore as to (hopefully) not be able to repeat the same mistakes from last time.
