Initially released in 2003, it took until March 2020 for Satoshi Kon's Tokyo Godfathers to finally get an English dub, at which point it was also given a remastered rerelease. I saw it for the first time at the start of last year's Christmas season, watching it in both English and Japanese, and I couldn't be happier that it now has a chance to reach a wider audience. It's a wonderful film that's earned its place as part of my Christmas must-watch list, right up there with such greats as A Christmas Story, The Grinch and Home Alone, and I definitely recommend seeking this one out for yourself.
