So a little background on Akiko... My original concept for her character was a fight game character with shadow powers that are somewhat demonic in nature, The idea was she could fit into either the Street Fighter or Dark Stalkers game series, and belive it or not she was human, and I hadn't given her a real name.. instead she when by Nightfire. Besides the standard martial arts skills she could fire projectiles made of darkness and she had the ability to teleport from one shadow to another, along with a special move called "Shadow RooK" Where she could change places with her opponent, often used to put them into the path of their own projectile. Back in the old days of the Fred Perry Fan Club, I posted a drawing of the Anthro fox version of her dressed as a sexy schoolteacher, and I remember Max liked it and asked if he could draw her. I think this may have been the inspiration for Raven Hunt... Max doesn't remember it, but even if he did, I don't want to give the impression that I deserve any sort of credit for the idea. That would be like dropping off a marathon runner at the start of the race and trying to take credit for the fact that he won. To take this long winded story full circle, I eventually decided to make a version of Nightfire who had no powers and when I created her back story I took inspiration from Max's character Zig-Zag.
