Standard is unheard of in /most/ Tauruses This one has a short throw shifter and fresh Mobil 1 synthetic ATF, I'm actually amazed at how smooth and tight the shifter is! And who knows, maybe i'll bring it up to the meet or something, if I don't sell it first.

nah to be honest it is damn near perfect mechanically, just needs the new inner and outer tie rods in the trunk put on the front to stop a noise.
It's the body that's kind of a let-down. It looks great from 10-15 feet, but the rear passenger 1/4 is rusty and was repainted poorly, the passenger rocker is pretty rusty and should prolly be replaced, really it depends on how you want it, i'd drive it the way it is until it absolutely had to be replaced, and the front bumper has the usual rock chips and some clear coat peeling.

Hah, deal. Though, I'mma have to give you a bit of a breakdown on it. It's got a bad syncro, so you have to shift it into second gear just right... and there's a switch you also need to flip on before starting it. And then the suspension is fucked up as well.

I could definitely do 2k by October/November time. Shit, that's when I'm actually planning to get another car for a daily... because I dread driving my Nissan in the winter.

It's just a matter/question of if you'll hold it down, or have something else within that price range, and mechanically healthy when the time arrives.

I weish I could hold it, but space/the need to keep money flowing doesn't permit it.

A 1990 model is even more rare and quicker and was only available in a 5 speed. Make sure you NEVER do burnouts in a SHO, that's a no no, if so you can kiss your diff pin goodbye.

Hehe I already know. My first SHO was a 91 with a rod shifter and a fiberglass hood. It had way more rust and it was the 1st gen Taurus body style, so it was even more of a sleeper

I always liked the Taurus SHO, and your vehicle is definitely an example of Ford at its best.

Does your car have leather seating? It seems like your vehicle is very well upgraded and is in showroom condition.

I don't have it anymore, it did have the full leather interior though. It looked okay from 15-20 feet away, but had some rust issues as most did.
