This is Rriarla Valepaw, my most detailed and extensively roleplayed D&D character. She originally started as a D&D 3.5 character. Her story actually started when I began roleplaying as Akyrn Valepaw in 2013. She has since been converted and her story expanded a TON into 5th edition.
Rriarla was born a grey furred gnoll to Akyrn and Sha'ri Valepaw in the deserts near Sibayad. At the age of 4 she went to Andunor to begin her rite of ascension to truly become an adult in the eyes of gnollish culture. She began her time in Andunor taking a job as a house guard for the drow house of Xyvil'kor and ended up earning a slave collar due to a situation that won't be explained in detail here. Eventually she earned her freedom again and ended up, as the years passed, as Alpha of the Green Fangs. This was a gnoll pack founded by her and another gnoll named Vyl who ended up disappearing after some time. In fact the symbol on her right pauldron is the Green Fang pack symbol.
As Rriarla continued to gain power and prestige within the city of Andunor and her pack continued to grow she eventually gained a seat on the ruling council of the city. The ruling council was a group of 12 people, usually only drow, who ran the entire city and controlled everything.
Rriarla only ever took two mates in her life so far: Mara and Khaine. Khaine was a red furred gnoll from Thay. His death is something that scarred Rriarla for the rest of her extremely long life. Mara, also originally from Thay, is a white furred gnoll who also has a ton of story I won't get into here. Mara is still around today. The two earrings that Rriarla wears represents Khaine (red) and Mara (white).
A few years later Andunor ended up being invaded by humans from the surface and destroyed. Rriarla and Mara are the only two that managed to escape from the Green Fangs. Rriarla, partially because she felt weak and also partially because she wanted to extend her natural life, decided to go through with a ritual that involved having sex with a gold dragon. This ritual infused magic from the dragon into herself and changed her body to become the half gold dragon, half gnoll that she is today. She was 21 years old when this happened. By default, gnolls usually are lucky to live to the age of 40. With this, her life will likely last for thousands of years.
Rriarla and Mara spend a few years in Phlan as Rriarla had to basically completely retrain from the start (think how Cecil had to restart from level 1 when he became a paladin in FF4) as the ritual and her body changes left her extremely weak. Over the next few months after her change she far far exceeded her power and abilities that she had as a pure gnoll. During their time in Phlan Rriarla and Mara founded a mercenary company run like a gnoll pack, but it wasn't exclusively gnolls like the Green Fangs were (for the most part). This mercenary company was called the Wild Claws. After suffering betrayal from within and thus Rriarla going into a spiral of depression, the company fell apart.
After that, Rriarla moved to Cormyr where she joined the adventurer's guild there and made a good life for herself eventually being able to buy a house in Suzail. After a good number of years, she received a letter to her house from an old friend, Gael Silvertongue. He had died and was in the process of creating an adventurer's guild like organization within the city of Barovia. Rriarla went there for his funeral. After many events Gael's spirit remained around and Rriarla took over as the guild master of the Gael Silvertongue Academy.
Needless to say there is a LOT more to her story and if I wrote out all of it here it'd easily be 10 times longer. I just wanted to give a brief overview so you can get an idea of what her life has been like. Now on to her 5e stats:
