TwitterWhen animals considered to be "prey" by the apex predators of the world begin to band together for safety, where does it leave those caught in between?
Namely, a pair of pine martens, carnivores and flesh-eaters themselves, but small enough to be considered food for the bears, wolves and gluttons of the forest and field. They're on a journey to seek sanctuary with the rabbits, squirrels and other prey that have gathered to Oren--but they don't know if welcome or condemnation will meet them.

I love this!!!! Great new page! I love the story's progression so far!
Also, Hemlock . . . put the goddamn spear down. I get you have this whole "terrible person" schpiel going on, but please try to do better. But I know your will is too inflexible. You're not going to change. You refuse to.
Or maybe it was very wise. It seems to have left Hemlock speechless.
-- Friedrich Nietzsche
That hits right on the nail with a lot of things I've been struggling with recently. How to present acceptance to the un-accepting, how to foster positive responses in a negative environment, how to be a good person and how to help other people to be good people too. It's easy to say just "be the change," etc., but that never conveys the near-unfathomable amount of humility and vulnerability that it takes to actually do that. Sooner or later you have to drop your own weapons...
I think like 3 or 4 within the last couple of day's. ^^
And I'm hoping that Rask has weakened Hemlock's resolve at least alittle bit. It's not much but hopefully it's a start. ^^
Might also be cause for the first time since you two met she is no longer donning the literal "mantle ofr a Predator".
How great it would be if Oren and the others would have been in hearing distance for this, after all Rask just showed that Oren's vision is slowly coming to reality.
But somehow I think that this is a pure Rask and Hemlock moment where both who lost all of their family to predators need to see how few differences they truely have in the end.
This is fantastically written, the perspectives on each panel show the tension and revelations. I really do admire Rask, he has the strength to overcome his instincts and speak honestly. 💖⭐⭐⭐⭐🙌👍
His body needs it, *He* needs it, but he does not want it. He does not want to eat his new friends, in spite of everything else.
