Faith is also a frustrating thing. There have probably been a thousand different faiths in recorded history -- each different, each convinced it's right, and not very many believers getting a clue from any of this that maybe faith is a poor test of the situation they're in. In fact, the more devoted, the more facts contradict their faith, the more they're convinced that faith is the answer (to overcoming the facts, I guess).
Some faiths, at least, admit that maybe they're all the same when you get to the bottom of it, and not all stand in the way of science with equal determination. Apart from having no particularly good reason to jump to the conclusion that there's a Supreme Being, the Dali Lama seems like a pretty cool guy.
