From this perspective a butterfly can look like a cross between a wasp and a peacock. It's an interesting combination... :)

IDK why, but large butterflies are kinda freaky to me. Fortunately, they are very pretty and nothing to be worried about. :3

That's me and spiders. I respect and appreciate them, but large ones give me the whimwhams if they surprise me at close range...brrrrr!

They can be very pretty, but if you like those, you ought to see some of the other butterflies that were there. Some of them had crazy eyes with stripes, Xs, and waves through them. I'll upload some more later today. :)

It helps to use a telephoto (70-200) so I can be a few feet away. Gonna give it another shot the next time I go. A lot of the photos I took should have had a higher aperture. :/
