That name Elizabeth was actually used as a nod to an often used line from the Tv show Sanford & Son. Her name in development internally was Diane. There were promotional toys sent out for review before Shrek 2 was premiering. The toys packaging originally had her name printed on them. But was later removed for "reasons." Im trying to see if I can get the info from an outside source now. I hope they still have the packaging pictures they sent me years ago, as my hdd that had them smoked.
