When I was working on these machines I was remembering the scene from the 1995 movie "Ghost in the Shell" where mokoto kussanagi fought a giant walking spider tank and the scene in MGS4 where solid snake fought the gecko walking tanks. I was so intrigued with the whole "David and goliath" standoff that I wanted to make such scenarios for my aeros.

From the essences of the auto weapon craze of the late 80s came the idea of making more efficient auto weapons compared to the MFs. Out of this came the Walking Artificial Intelligent Tank, an efficient and much more bulky weapon compared to the smaller and more maneuverable weapon.
