And here’s the second half of the little “New Residents of Densville” storyline I’d posted a while ago- this time with a friend by the name of Luna. He’s a jovial, playful sort of guy with a love of gothic attire as well as romance concepts, so it seemed only fitting to make him up into a prim and proper raven gal.
Layla (first name meaning ‘night’, and last name meaning ‘blackbird’) is the product of a visitor to Densville who was all too happy to convert to their way of living, and on the aptitude exams filed almost perfectly for a Nurturer role. But a lady can’t be expected to just sit around and wait for the right man to make her a mother, so she’s currently nursing an antiques store in Densville for all sorts of shiny trinkets and oddities that some folks may find interesting in town- coincidentally, the previous shop owner was a bird too. She always enjoys company and is naturally affectionate, but also likes to keep a sort of mystery about herself. It’s more enticing that way to get to know her... and she very much wants people to know who she is.
I gotta say, this was a really fun concept to work with. I have a thing for pencil dresses, gloves and little hats with veils, so the design ended up really corresponding nicely with a lot of my own likes. The mix of colors ended up making her blend into the background a little, but I still enjoyed the more calm, artistic sort of wallpaper that inspired this image.
